Hi Oliver, What specific hotkeys are you interested in?
Besides the brightness adjustment hotkeys, we'll have volume down/up/down hotkey support in final 2009.06 release. You can wait and have a try with latest 2009.06(b111b based) release. I tried it on Lenovo T61p and those volume hotkeys work fine. Since currently we don't have a ACPI-based hotkey driver for non-toshiba models, if you also want other hotkey functions, such as screen lock, suspend to RAM etc, you can customize a keyboard shortcut you like for those functions through: Gnome->Preference->Keyboard Shortcuts Regards, Kerry Oliver H.
