I just installed OpenSolaris 2008.11 on my Toshiba Tecra S2 and am trying to get the wireless card working. According to the Device Driver Utility, the ethernet card "Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8053 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller" has a missing driver. The wireless is an Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG using iwi.
Right now the problem is when I see a wireless network in the pulldown list, I can sign up for it, but it tries reconnecting over and over (~every two seconds). I assumed I was having the same issue at this guy: http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/laptop-discuss/2006-June/006551.html, so I tried reinstalling iwi. I downloaded the newest driver and followed these instructions: http://opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/wireless/iwi/ but it says that version is already installed. Is there any advice for getting this working for my laptop? Thanks.
