I hear that ticking sound a lot, I knew before (when I was using linux) that
this is the hard disk sound
I think the Load_Cycle_Count is increasing so rapidly, so I wanted to know the
Load_Cycle_Count
I compiled smartmontools but could not use it because it either says ?no such
file or directory? or just freeze and I cannot stop or kill the process from
the gnome-system-monitor or using Ctrl-c

I actually do not understand what are all these files in /dev/rdsk I do not
know which file I should pass to smartctl

so here is my situation exactly:
- How could I know the Load_Cycle_Count using any tool
- If I will use smartctl then what is the command that I should type
- How could I stop it from increasing so rapidly (most important)
- I may sound like an idiot, but I am not sure that my hard disk is SATA, is
there some way to know that?

please anybody help me, it is ticking so fast, I beginning to think about
wiping the whole system and getting back to Ubuntu
