You really should look into using MPlayer bult from source (SPEC or vanilla)
instead of Blastwave as the gap between Solaris 10 (Which Blastwave is
primarily aimed at) and Solaris NEXT (Aka 11 aka Indiana/OpenSolaris) is
enough that these kind of problems arise.  Despite binary compatibility,
there's no promises and thus it's best to use a version compiled against
your host environment.  As a example, you wouldn't run a performance
dependent program such as MPlayer through Rosetta on Mac OS X if you can
help it despite it being compatible, though I'm speaking of general bugs of
operation and not performance, but maybe you'll get the point.  I'd also
argue performance reasons as newer libraries MPlayer links against could be
potentially faster than those "legacy" ones which Blastwave's stack depends
on when running it on OpenSolaris.
