I'm looking for a high end 17" (1920 x 1200 ) laptop, and would like to know the likelyhood of the Dell M6400 Covet (http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/precn/en/workstation_precision_m6400_brochure.pdf) working.
Specifically, I would like to know if the Broadcom Netxtreme BCM5761E (http://www.broadcom.com/collateral/pb/5761E-PB00-R.pdf) would have any chance of working with the Solaris bge driver (that doesn't currently list the '61E in it's manpage), or any other driver, or if it likely to work in the future. Alternatively, does anyone have any suggestions for a good 17" laptop that's well supported under the latest bleeding edge version of Solaris?
