Basically it came to reading some code, and setting all the input's to zero; its probably going to cause some issues for those who might want to record, but for me, its a non-issue given all I need is playback. As a side note, its lots of fun reading through C - although the most in depth I ever did was writing a small game using AMOS on the amiga, the same fundamentals of programming still remain constant :) Matthew > > Kaiwai Gardiner wrote: > > Hi > > > > I"ve realised I provided the wrong link: > > > > http://www.adrive.com/public/467c92d490386f8bc49649607fccd9ad86f58ee2519caff77c23d641a8d9758c.html > > > > On Tue, 2008-05-13 at 21:01 +1200, Kaiwai Gardiner wrote: > > > >> Hi, > >> > >> I've recompiled the latest stable version of OSS with the default volume > >> set to 0 - this has stopped the squealing on boot up with Lenovo > >> Thinkpad's with the ad1984 chipset: > >> > >> http://www.adrive.com/public/43df450145ca0e833e6957abdb10c09796f3ebd29b0a8647616044d502ec5300.html > >> > >> Any feedback would be welcome :) > >> > >> Matthew > >> > >> _______________________________________________ > >> laptop-discuss mailing list > >> laptop-discuss at opensolaris.org > >> > > > > _______________________________________________ > > laptop-discuss mailing list > > laptop-discuss at opensolaris.org > > >
