It works, but I am suspecting perhaps it has something to do with the Core2 Duo? I went backwards and grabbed SXDE 1/08 and it runs really well. After loading the bcme drivers for the broadcom, I at least have network (no wifi) and OSS for sound.
Are there any know issues on OpenSolaris 2008.05 with the Core2 Duos? This is a dual core x64 chip. The corruption I get when I try to load that is peculiar to say the least. The lower 1/4 of my monitor turns into pixilated noise when the copy progress is at 66% and then when it hits 67%, it reboots. This message posted from opensolaris.org
