Strange, I just recently installed B78 and BFU'ed, and nsswitch.conf remained intact with hosts: files dns Is 79 out on SDLC? I checked just two days ago and 78 was still current as for ISO's that is. Also, I remember having an issue with Solaris 10 and earlier (B66) builds of OpenSolaris where certain network parameters would kludge resulting in the nsswitch.conf having your indicated issue. This was before NWAM though obviously.
