I am running the current Solaris Express Developers Edition on a Compaq nx9600 laptop, with a 3.6 P-4 and 2gb ram.
When pluged into the net, I am able to get online just fine. However, I am unable to get wireless started. I have the Compaq drivers on cd and am not afraid to use ndiswrapper, I am just uncertain how to use it with Solaris. There are issues as well playing cd's or dvd's with the laptop. I have tested these cd's and dvd's on a Solaris x86 desktop: Rythmplayer & Real Player work just fine. This makes it obvious it is a drivers issue or hardware compatibility issue. I have the drivers on cd for audio and video, I do not know if ndiswrapper can install these. I am open to whatever it takes to make my laptop have wireless access, where ever; whilst running OpenSolaris. Please advise. chooch This message posted from opensolaris.org
