A new cardbus driver that is capable of handling 16bit and 32bit PC cards has been released. It supports, TI, O2 Micro, Toshiba and Ricoh ( for Sony VIAO). It's available at http://opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/wireless/cardbus.
