I installed snv_27 on my T43p and Vincent sent me a newer version of the file named cardbus that goes in /kernel/misc. With that new driver, I can hotplug and use an atheros chipset card from IBM (made for IBM by ActionTec). Seems to work OK and can be configured using either wificonfig or inetmenu after I set up a profile for WEP (128-bit) using wificonfig. Thanks for sending me the new cardbus module. It certainly works better with my notebook than the one first shipped. That module also works with an IBM Firewire card but I still have issues with volume management with the new cardbus driver. I can connect a Plextor PX-716UF to the firewire card and burn CDs but good CDs are not mounted by volume management. I can also plug in a SanDisk CF card (512 MB) in a PC Card Adapter and pcata is associated with the card but volume management does not mount it. Any hints?
