I have tested with a Dlink DWL-650 Rev B2 card. Also an Atheros Card. This card works perfectly. There is no hangup situation with Wificonfig nor inetmenu.
So it seems to be related to the Atheros implementation.
Anyone got the Netgear WG511T workin well in another Laptop ?
Anyone else tried it in the Ferrari 3400 ?
