The specs that I found on the web for the Toshiba Tecra A9 shows a standard intel chipset, so I suspect for audio it is trying to use the audiohd driver. Before snv_99, the typical problem with audiohd was missing hd codec support. Does the kernel log something like this to /var/adm/messages? WARNING: audiohd0: unsupported HD codec: vid=0x11061708, rev=0x00100700 Problems like this might have been fixed in build 99: Bug ID: 6740761 Synopsis: AudioHD Codecs parser should be supported in Solaris http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6740761 Some time ago I posted a build 99 audiohd driver binary, grab it from the attachment included with this forum message: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=285210񅢈
