The pcwl driver for this platform is busted. Specifically, the driver
doesn't have some important workarounds for chip errata in the miniPCI
2.5 card found on Tadpole laptops.
I've had a low (very) priority item to fix this for some time.
You *might* be better off seeing if you can get an update to the ipw
(Intersil Prism Wireless) driver from Tadpole, instead of using pcwl.
(I am the author of the Tadpole ipw driver, which was written *long*
before Intel entered the WiFi market, and before there was ever an "ipw"
driver for Intel Pro/Wireless. :-)
I thought I had submitted a CR for this, but I can't seem to find it now...
