After limping around in 32 bit kernels for a bit I ripped mine out and replaced it with an Atheros card; works flawlessly for me. Not all laptops allow such replacements, though: on some the miniPCI card is inaccessible and on others (IBM, HP?), the BIOS refuses to enumerate a non-standard miniPCI card. Casper
