This actually seems like a more general usability concern -- /usr/sfw/bin isn't in the default path. It took me quite a while to discover that it was there, actually, and now one of the first things I do on a fresh install is add it to my path. Is there a reason it's *not* in the default path? (crossposting to approach-discuss. Alex, your experiences getting Solaris going from a standing start would be really, really valuable to the Approachability folks; please don't hesitate to post there (http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/forum.jspa?forumID=60 ) with your experiences. New people who are articulate, aware of what they don't know, and most of all willing to talk about it are actually pretty rare.)
