I'm writing from my Dell over wireless as we speak. Yay! However, occasionally the machine crashes hard... The screen blanks and then the machine immediately cold reboots.
I suspect the broadcom/ndiswrapper is at fault because it mostly crashes when I'm doing something that uses the network. The machine may be up for hours before it happens. In the log, I get a bunch of warnings: Jul 19 09:29:28 muffin bcmndis: [ID 446631 kern.notice] ndis_gld_ioctl: cmd 0xc0786981 Jul 19 09:29:28 muffin bcmndis: [ID 975483 kern.notice] ndis_gld_ioctl: unknown cmd 0xc0786981 Jul 19 09:29:28 muffin bcmndis: [ID 446631 kern.notice] ndis_gld_ioctl: cmd 0x40586993 Jul 19 09:29:28 muffin bcmndis: [ID 975483 kern.notice] ndis_gld_ioctl: unknown cmd 0x40586993 (and a couple of shared IRQ warnings as well) I also get a bunch of messages streaming while connected: Jul 19 09:56:50 muffin bcmndis: [ID 705148 kern.notice] link down Jul 19 09:56:50 muffin bcmndis: [ID 141910 kern.notice] link up Jul 19 09:57:29 muffin bcmndis: [ID 705148 kern.notice] link down Jul 19 09:57:29 muffin bcmndis: [ID 141910 kern.notice] link up Jul 19 09:57:33 muffin bcmndis: [ID 705148 kern.notice] link down Jul 19 09:57:33 muffin bcmndis: [ID 141910 kern.notice] link up (etc.) So my basic question is what sys and inf file are people successfully using for the Dell 1450 a/b/g card?
