That was it - saved existing rpcmod and dropped in version from build 22 bfu, and crashes stopped.
Will probably try the keyboard stuff sometime soon. You have some of the dtrace commands/scripts that you used still handy? I'd like to see if some of the other odd keys (dedicated dollar and euro keys, for example) could be made useful. This message posted from opensolaris.org
