Hi Artem,

I looked over the info for Intel that covers iwh. What is posted is:

"IWH driver is for Intel Shirley Peak WiFi chipset. At present, this
driver only supports basic 802.11B/G mode"

So I don't trust the download link to include 11N support. Also, the
SUNWiwh package is dated "VERSION=11.11,REV=2008.12.23.17.41" which is
way before the link that you posted.

So how I see it, is if I purchase another minipci WIFI card, it should
be using the Intel Shirley Peak WiFi chipset.

I also noted that there are plans to upgrade the iwk driver to include
11N support in Phase 2. I currently have PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN
[Kedron] card. But what bothers me is this message I get in
/var/adm/messages:

Oct 6 00:48:17 Solaris-1 iwk: [ID 925725 kern.warning] WARNING: fatal
firmware error

That and I can never connect at the college I go to Friday evenings.
All Windows and MAC computers have no problem.

Maybe I should get another PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] card.
Hopefully the IWH will support WEP/WPA/WPA2 which the IWK only presently
supports WEP, WPA-PSK.

Paul
