I am a newcomer to opensolaris, but unfortunately made the false assumption that opensolaris supported modern security standards. This is big inconvenience since my university only supports WPA2 wifi with a MS-CHAP v2 and associated security certificate. It's also somewhat of a disappointment since most other mainstream *nix distributions have support for such network security.
I will likely have to ditch opensolaris because of these deficiencies (I think I'll probably try BSD next), but hey, it's OS darwinism. If you can't keep up with modern security standards, then you lose out to more capable competitors. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
