Thanks for that. I've done the above, and the trackpad still works (which is a step forward), but there doesn't appear to be a UI for configuration. I'm aware of the parameters described in the synaptics man page, but a UI would be nice. Am I missing something, or should I I file an RFE for that, and if so, where? (that is, bugs.opensolaris.org, defect.opensolaris.org, or somewhere upstream?) -Kurt
