It appears to be just this model. Judging by the talk on the IRC channel, others are at least getting Breezy installed on other Toshiba laptops. I've tried installing both Windows and Breezy in every driver configuration the BIOS allows (RAID or JBOD). Even a plain WinXP disk fails to detect any attached hard drives. The only thing that seems to work is using Toshiba's fully automated recovery disk, and that resets the BIOS to RAID mode all by itself. The reason I mentioned trying another distro is because Knoppix is the only thing I've thrown at this machine that successfully detects the hard drive at all (and the QTParted utility in Knoppix allows me to resize the NTFS partition without any problems). Unless my bug report is addressed (which includes all the notes about everything I've tried), it seems I'm dead in the water. -- Aaron Ubuntu SVG Artwork - http://www.volvoguy.net/ubuntu ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Art, like morality, consists of drawing the line somewhere. ~ G.K.
