[colony 4] should the live cd prompt for desired screen resolution?

I tried the colony 4 live CD with my Sharp PC-MM20 to see if the problems with X and colony 3 had been resolved. It works properly now, but I was prompted for my desired screen resolution.
It defaulted to 1024x768, which was correct, but this seemed a little odd. Does this indicate a failure to probe for the appropriate settings? Should I file a bug?
