you should be aware of this, but asus models (M6Ne and M6n and maybe also M6Ve) to properly shutdown:
nolapic in boot options
and to get good acpi-buttons evnts:
ec_burst=1 in boot options
also the screen is sometime heavily disturbed when switching to console:
vga=normal in boot options

this is not a real bug: hotkey ATKD 0000005c ha a wrong handling (it locks screen but it should toggle powersaving stuff (1 hit= performance 2 hits=userspace 3 hits=powersave))

everything is reported in this page https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/AsusM6800Ne#preview
(I don't have a canonical machine)

We're looking at doing the final kernel release in the near future, so
could people please grab the latest upgrades, run

sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-`uname -r`

when running the latest kernel, and test for any issues?

People with Canonical machines: if you haven't fully filled in the wiki
table, please do so soon or we'll be asking for the machines back. And
if you've got any open bugs which are waiting for you to respond on
something, please reply as soon as possible or they won't be fixed and
Breezy will suck for you.
