Issue with touchpad.

In Ubuntu it does not appear easy, if at all possible, to disable the touchpad when a usb mouse is plugged in, nor to disable it manually. This is, if nothing else, a nuisance and it would be nice if X could use a software hack, just like it does for me in WinXP.
