Hello,

I have completed my current round of testing flight 3. The results are at:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/SonyVaioVGN-TX650P

My question becomes:
Where do I go from here? There are some fairly major issues, but I really don't have the time at the moment to debug these down to which module went wrong. I also don't know what to file an installer bug against.

In particular, the biggest bug that I am concerned about is the fact that the video card drivers, which seemed to be detected so well in Breezy seem to have defaulted to something generic that does not allow me to change to the widescreen, or to have accelerated video.

I even wondered about the video card in Breezy, as the video in this PC shares main memory. I have 1.5GB of RAM, so I would like the video to use the 128 MB that it can to ensure the best performance. I could not figure out where I could set, or even find out how much RAM was being allocated to the video. I guess that is my next research project.

Hibernate functionality also would be nice, but I am not certain that is a problem in Dapper, yet, or if there is an issue in my configuration. I know that I got hibernate to work in Breezy at one time, but it doesn't seem to go right now. I do have a swap partition, and at 2 GB, it should be plenty for anything that the computer is throwing into it. I may try to debug this one later.

I look forward to hearing what my next steps should be. I also would not mind any feedback about the notation system I used in writing up my report. Is it clear enough? Should I note them differently?

Thanks in advance,
-Matt Kuiken
