Hmm, now that I actually timed it, it’s more of a 15 seconds. And not 100% regular, *and* seems to turn on from time to time (but, once on, seems to stay until reboot/hibernation). Is there a way to turn off or change the journaling, to rule out this possibility? FWIW, `sudo hdparm -B 255 /dev/sda` (the way to turn off the disk APM suggested on the ThinkWiki) doesn’t seem to affect the clicking. -- Shot
