Subject: Toshiba m200 ACPI broken, Breezy -> Dapper

Dapper broke the Toshiba m200 ACPI support,
Current state of things:
(I enabled the KDE ACPI daemon via KControl, but this had no effect
on the results below.)
sleep -- Did not work automatically in Breezy, though /etc/acpi/
sleep.sh still worked.
Now sleep.sh doesn't work either in Dapper; it doesn't seem to do
anything at all.
sidenote: The standard output of sleep.sh seems to be much
different in Breezy versus Dapper.
hibernate -- Never worked; in Breezy would output the string
"restoring high mem", then show a corrupted screen with vertical
green/white bars.
shutdown/restart -- Fail often (screen would turn blank, but
computer wouldn't turn off... I'd always have to hard-reboot). Has
always been this way.
