- Call for Reviewer Self-Nominations
We invite members of the community who are interested in serving as
reviewers for AAMAS 2027 to submit a self-nomination through the following
form: https://forms.gle/3vd99yvWqNdYqhYR7 . We warmly welcome
self-nominations across all AAMAS areas. In particular, we would be
especially pleased to receive additional nominations in Learning and
Adaptation (LEARN), Search, Optimization, Planning, and Scheduling (SOPS),
Generative and Agentic AI (GAAI), and Game Theory and Economic Paradigms
(GTEP), where strengthening the reviewer pool would be particularly helpful.
Reviewing is one of the ways in which we collectively sustain the
quality of our research community. The broader the participation, the more
evenly the workload can be shared, allowing each reviewer to handle a
smaller and more manageable set of papers. The form includes the reviewer
eligibility requirements and asks for basic OpenReview information and
areas of expertise. Candidates who are recruited will subsequently be asked
to complete the official Reviewer Registration in OpenReview, which is a
separate step in the AAMAS 2027 reviewing workflow. That registration will
collect the more detailed expertise information, including area-specific
topics, needed for paper matching and assignment.
Thank you very much for considering contributing to AAMAS 2027.
Best regards,
AAMAS 2027 Program Chairs

- Submissions:
For all details (including instructions regarding AI usage), see the
webpage https://events.gwdg.de/event/1460/page/476-submissions. Quick
overview:
Authors are invited to submit papers presenting original and unpublished
research on theoretical aspects of computer science. Topics covered by the
tracks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Track A. Algorithms, Data Structures, and Complexity
- Track B. Automata, Logic, Semantics and Theory of Programming
- IMPORTANT DATES
Submission deadline: Oct 11, 2026
Rebuttal: Nov 30 -Dec 2, 2026
Notification: Dec 22, 2026
Conference: Mar, 8-12 2027
- Format of submissions:
Submissions should be made through EasyChair at
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=stacs2027 Authors are invited to
submit an extended abstract or a full paper with at most 15 pages; this
page limit excludes the title page, the references section, and a possible
appendix. In preparing submissions, the usage of the LIPIcs style file is
mandatory; no changes to font size, page geometry, etc. are permitted.
Please refer to LIPIcs author instructions. Submissions submitted after the
deadline will not be considered, and submissions not adhering to the
expected format risk rejection without consideration of the content.
Submissions should be made to appropriate tracks. The PCs reserve the right
to reassign a paper to a different track, if deemed necessary.
The extended abstract should contain a succinct statement of the
considered issues and of their motivation, a summary of the main results,
and a brief explanation of their significance, accessible to non-specialist
readers. This should be followed by a rigorous derivation of the claimed
results. Proofs omitted due to space constraints should be put into an
appendix. It is allowed and encouraged to provide the anonymized full
version of the paper as the appendix. Simultaneous submission to other
conferences with published proceedings or to journals is not allowed. PC
members are allowed to submit their works as well, except for PC chairs.
- Double-blind reviewing:
As in the previous years, STACS 2027 will employ a lightweight
double-blind reviewing process: submissions should not reveal the identity
of the authors in any way. Nothing should be done in the name of anonymity
that weakens the submission or makes the job of reviewing the paper more
difficult. In particular, important references should not be omitted or
anonymized. In addition, authors should feel free to disseminate their
ideas or draft versions of their paper as they normally would. For example,
authors may post drafts of their papers on the web, submit them to arXiv,
and give talks on their research ideas.
- Rebuttal:
There will be a rebuttal period for authors. Authors will receive the
reviews of their submissions and have a few days to prepare and submit
rebuttals. These rebuttals become part of the PC discussions, but entail no
specific responses. Rebuttals will be handled through EasyChair.
- At least one author of each accepted paper is expected to register at
the conference. For authors who cannot present their paper in person, a
possibility for remote presentation will be offered.

The reviewers will be asked to rate the submissions and evaluate whether
they can be accepted as:
- Full paper for the LNCS proceedings
- Short paper for the LNCS proceedings
- Poster (not included in the proceedings)
Papers accepted in the first two categories will be invited for
presentation at the conference. Posters will be illustrated by the authors
in separate poster sessions.
- Responsible use of generative AI
Following the tradition of previous editions of FSEN, the proceedings
will be published in the LNCS series of Springer. We therefore recommend to
carefully check the Springer policy regarding the use of generative AI. In
brief this policy does allow for the use of AI tools to support the
preparation of the manuscript, but authors must ensure that human expertise
is involved in the editing and fact-checking of AI-generated content.
Authors must transparently declare any use of AI tools in their manuscripts
and are fully responsible for the content and integrity of their work,
provided that the intellectual contributions—such as ideas, analysis, and
conclusions—are original and human-generated; AI cannot be listed as an
author or co-author. We further expect responsible use of AI and that
authors commit themselves to maintain the integrity of scholarly
communication. We also require reviewers to adhere to the non-disclosure of
submitted manuscripts. This includes the requirement that reviews are being
performed by the reviewers themselves and that submitted manuscripts are
not being uploaded to AI tools. The use of tools for correcting spelling
and grammar of the review reports themselves is permitted.
For further details or specific issues regarding the AI policies of
associations supporting FSEN and Springer, please consult:
- Springer’s policies and guidances for AI (
https://group.springernature.com/gp/group/ai/ai-guidance-for-our-researchers-and-communities
)

)
- Proceedings and Special Issue
The proceedings of FSEN'27 will be published by Springer in the LNCS
series. Following the tradition of FSEN, we plan to have a special issue of
the Science of Computer Programming journal devoted to FSEN'27. After the
conference a selection of papers will be invited for this special issue.
The invited papers should be revised and extended and will undergo a new
round of review by an international program committee. Please see the
websites of previous editions of FSEN for more information on proceedings
and special issues related to those editions.
