A la suite du message du 2 octobre les organisateurs des séminaires 00182, 00378, 00391, 00653, ont fait connaître leur accord pour préparer ensemble un séminaire intitulé « La recherche scientifique aujourd’hui et demain, pour qui, dans quelle Europe ? »
J’ai déposé cette proposition au nom de tous, le 7 octobre, � <<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>[EMAIL PROTECTED]> . Elle a été enregistrée sous le numéro 85. Cet enregistrement m’a été notifié ce matin, jeudi 9 octobre.

<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>Il faut donc que chacune des 10 organisations m’envoient un texte qui réponde � ces 4 questions. Il vaudrait mieux que ce texte soit court (pas plus de 1500 signes chacun) et qu’il soit structuré selon ces quatre questions. Je m’efforcerai de faire la synthèse et de vous la soumettre.

<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>Il nous faudra réfléchir ensuite sur le déroulement du séminaire lui-même. Nous ne connaissons pas encore toutes les règles � respecter en ce qui concerne les séminaires. Nous savons seulement qu’ils doivent se dérouler en 3 heures et qu’il faudra faire un compte rendu (ce qu’ils appellent la « restitution »). Cela dit, et sous réserve que cela soit accepté, je vous propose que nos 10 organisations disposent chacune d’un temps de parole de 6 minutes (10 x 6 = 60 minutes). Cela est court. Mais nous savons tous � quel point ceux qui écoutent dans la salle s’impatientent lorsqu’ils commencent � avoir envie de dire quelque chose et que des intervenants sont trop long. Il resterait donc deux heures, pour le débat.

Il semble qu’un cinquième candidat � la fusion dans notre groupe ait été oublié dans le relevé de décisions de l’Assemblée préparatoire européenne du 28-30 septembre. Il s’agit de « Coordinamento Italiano FSE » (contact : Francesco RAPARELLI <[EMAIL PROTECTED]<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>>) qui propose le sujet suivant : « Il sapere merce e gli sudenti » Renseignements pris, il veulent parler de la propriété intellectuelle, des brevets, et des formes de résistances � ce qui se produit actuellement.

<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>3) Proposed alternatives (500 characters)

<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>This information will be published in the final official programme of the 2003 ESF; hence the deadline of 18 October.
<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>Each of the 10 organisations should therefore send me a text in reply to these 4 questions. It would advisable to keep it short (under 1500 characters each), focused on these four questions. I will endeavour to make a summary that I will submit to you.
<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>Then, we will have to think of how we mean the seminar to proceed. We do not have as yet all the rules to be respected for seminars. We know that they should last three hours, with a report to be provided (what they call “rendering”). However, and provided that it is accepted, I would suggest 6 minutes each to speakers from our 10 organisations (10 X 6 = 60 minutes). That is short. But we all know that people listening to speakers can become impatient when they start to want to say something and they feel that speakers are being too long. That would leave us two hours for the debate.
<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>Last point. It seems that there was a fifth candidate for merger with our group, which was forgotten in the report of the European Preparatory Assembly of 28-30 September. It is the “Coordinamento Italiano FSE” (contact person: Francesco RAPARELLI <[EMAIL PROTECTED]<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>>) and they put forward the following topic: "Il sapere merce E gli sudenti" After information, they want to speak about intellectual property, patents, and forms of resistance to the present situation.
<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>I replied that I had no personal objection, but that I had first to consult the organisers of the 4 seminars that had already been merged and I would do my best. I would like your views on this point as well.
