There is a wiki-page about this where you provide some tools for starting
the reverse engineering of this. Is this something you will allocate
resources to? I am considering to find someone to work on it as well...

I started building a chain of utilities to run (on Windows/Cygwin) to allow you to easily compile two different chunks of source code, present a human-readable diff of the binary output files, in order to try to understand the new AVM2 instruction set. It would be great to have some help with this process! Just send a note if you want more details, we could try to divide up the tasks into smaller pieces, to try to enumerate as many operators and control constructs as possible.
