Boy, that was a long vacation :-)
Short answer: 40532 == 40589. And 40397 == 40415, and so on...
I think the answer is that the P4-to-SVN gateway was using working
changeset numbers rather than the real transaction changeset number
(I guess the gateway hook runs before the transaction commits, so it
wouldn't know what the real transaction changeset number was). This
is kind of a bummer if true, since that means the gatewayed svn
transaction descriptions wont cleanly map back to P4 changeset numbers.
But the good part of it is that yes, that change was integrated over.
