Mea culpa -- we requre subversion client 1.3.1, which supports svn info --xml. This is lame, though; we have enough dependencies; our build system should be able to build our source outside of a subversion tree.

Indeed, the contents of repository-info.xml is:
Subcommand 'info' doesn't accept option '--xml'
Type 'svn help info' for usage.
(not very xml-ish indeed...)
