Approved, if you add the bug number (LPP-2759) to your comment (redundant with Ben's comment, but you'll remove any chance of confusion), and annotate LPP-2759 to make clear that you've put a workaround in LFC code to fix an application. We probably don't want to ship with this workaround in place.
