I'll create jira bugs for these. I'm not sure when I'll be done fixing grid.
I've got a question for you. If you create an <attribute> tag using an
existing variable name (from LzNode), does it point to the underlying variable?

Can you either file a bug about the other component users of
classname, or if it is the same pattern, fix them all with your fix
for grid?

You meant v.constructor.tagname
