I still think you should report all the values from the meter (the #
of runs, the min and max). Those numbers are there for a reason.

Summary: Improvements to performance benchmark recorder
New Features:
Bugs Fixed:
Technical Reviewer: jgrandy (pending)
QA Reviewer: mandel (pending)
Doc Reviewer: (pending)
Documentation:
Log entries from the performance log recorder have more metadata. We
record the entire User-Agent http header, url-encoded so it's easy
to parse.
For instance, this line records the result of a test run in Flash
Player 8
on Firefox 2.0 on an intel mac:
testname=newView duration=0.435 uncertainty=0.0229128784747773
suiteName=viewperf runtime=swf8 buildid=2174 debug=0
builddate=2006-10-17T18:19:03-0700 browserinfo=Mozilla/5.0+
(Macintosh;+U;+Intel+Mac+OS+X;+en-US;+rv:1.8.1)+Gecko/20061010
+Firefox/2.0 comment=null
This line records the result of the same test run in dhtml on the
same mac,
also in Firefox 2.0:
testname=newView duration=1.565 uncertainty=0.5348130514488216
suiteName=viewperf runtime=dhtml buildid=2174 debug=false
builddate=2006-10-17T18:19:03-0700 browserinfo=Mozilla/5.0+
(Macintosh;+U;+Intel+Mac+OS+X;+en-US;+rv:1.8.1)+Gecko/20061010
+Firefox/2.0 comment=null
This corresponds to checkin r2360 of http://svn.openlaszlo.org/
tools/trunk/performance/
which provides tools for analysis of logs generated in this way.
