Hi Sebastian, That's a good point. I was thinking of local shared objects and remote shared objects as different animals, but they really aren't are they. As a result localcache may not be the right name and we should probably think about synching with the server as well.
I had forgotten that red5's existence also means that it is probably inevitable to add so's to laszlo formally. I know you have been working with that, are so's a part of red5 yet and do you have any thoughts as to what sort of an interface to them would be best? -Cort On 11/18/06, Sebastian Wagner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
i like your implementation of SharedObject cause it hide's the *flashy* things far away. But SharedObjects are not only used for *Local* use like a cookie. People are used to realize chat systems with SharedObject, Streaming Servers also offer ability to make *persistent* SharedObject which are stored on ServerSide and not on Client Side. So SO's are not only a substitute of a Cookie they offer a lot more. regards sebastian 2006/11/18, Cortlandt Winters <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > Hi Guys, > > I've always been interested in lso's and I have some interesting code > that wraps up the ability to save and load named datasets to an lso.
