We're taking the low-risk fix first: get rid of the error message in the simplest, cleanest way possible. Then we'll look into why the swf isn't playing in this situation.

+ configure startup-static.html to use the SOLO startup loader app, startup-solo.lzx.swf

+ pre-compile the lzx app

+ use a static png instead of an animated swf for the splash, cuz that
animated swf freezes the app when compiled in.
