The argument for return is checked - if it contains a newline and
is not already
parenthesized, parentheses are added.
Note: this change is made and tested against r9252 -- before
r9267, which would
fix the reported problem in a different way. This fix should
guarantee that
problems with breaking lines in 'return' statements will not
trouble us again.
