I would say this: Open source brings out the best in everyone. It's
like stone soup - it invites free contributions and improves with each one!
Thanks for your contributions!

Thank you for the fast response!
I would like the team members to send me a sentence that summarizes
his/her philosophy
about subjects like open-source, RIAs or OpenLaszlo itself and put them
at the end of the book.
The last sentence of your article is good for the purpose.
It's just a tribute I would like to pay to the team which created
OpenLaszlo, considered that my book
and my project live around it.
Thanks

Thanks for promoting OpenLaszlo! Not sure what you are looking for
for your book, but maybe this forum article that I wrote will give
you some ideas of why we value open source:

Hi to all of you,
more than two years ago I founded the Italian OpenLaszlo Community.
It has been an exciting experience cause every time I presented
OpenLaszlo
to one of
my colleagues or in a seminar, everybody said "wow"!
One year ago I started a project to realize an open-source
framework that
lets you integrate LZX applications with Java back-ends easily.
The project is growing well and in these days I'm going to
complete my
thesis at University which speaks about OpenLaszlo
and my project. In the last chapter I'm showing how to realize a
simple
guest book based on Laszlo and my framework,
so I though it would be nice to include a page in the end of the
book which
includes some opinions about OpenLaszlo and open-source
from the minds behind OpenLaszlo.
If you like, please send me a sentence you would like me to
include in the
book.
Anyway, thank you for creating such a great software.
Best Regards
