I tried your example, running in the latest trunk build, and with the flash
10 debug player installed.

I get the following runtime error from the flash player in swf10

However after dismissing the Flash player dialog with the stack trace,  the
app  continues to run and I can drag the debugger and use it.

Which LPS release are you using? Have you tried a nightly build?
