For some messy reason involving mouse events, that I have forgotten the
history of, the 'selectable' property needs to be set Flash 10 runtime text
support for hyperlinks.

There's a cross-platform local event API also, shown below, if you want to
send
an event in the app instead of sending the browser to another page.
