r17502 and r17585 could have both contributed, but the fact the bug 
still still shows up in 4.8.1 (~r17581) suggests that this isn't the case.

I'd look at if the iframe is really in front of the swf movie 
(z-index/logical order in the DOM, see the HTML tab in firebug).

Otherwise, it's a new bug.  I'd try selectively commenting out any 
keyboard/mouse event code in lps/includes/source/embednew.js and 
friends...  Also, maybe goog has something about this issue on FF 3.6.11 
on OSX?
