Hello William, Well I recently tried to play with this splash tag and it appears to be quite a non-trivial thing to use. First, you can use a 'persistent' attribute of the tag to control whether the splash picture would survive after application has been loaded or not. Second, you can use movies and 'ratio' attribute when declaring views inside splash and thus control what part of movie is played during the load phase and what during the init one. However, this seems to be quite unstable - it works depending on the browser, sometimes it is not properly centered (especially in Mozilla), so try and see if it works for you.
