Simple fact: I don't trust people who can't be bothered to delete unquote material ... it's sloppy, and lazy, and shows disrespect.
In my first two days on the list I received two large digests. The fist contained 2 messages, one of them an enormous and ugly concretion of material. The second contained 4, three of them horrid. If you're so busy that you have to leave material dangling from a four line reply then you're too busy.
