Is it necessary for datasets to be children of the canvas? When I make the dataset a child of something else, and then try to create a datapointer into the dataset, the xpath can't "see" the dataset so the datapointer doesn't init properly. If it is possible to make the dataset a child of something else, what does the corresponding xpath look like?
