It doesn't seem to, if I look at the 'parent' attribute on the view

should be parented elsewhere, it still comes back as having its
parent as the
lexically enclosing node.
There are two parent attributes:
parent == lexical parent
immediateparent == parent where the node was placed
If you don't place the node, these are the same. They differ when
the node is placed.
I'm not too concerned, I have it working just fine with manually
instantiated
views now, I'm just curious.
