Actually there's an IBM tutorial available showing OpenLaszlo and PHP integration. There are three parts to the tutorial, but you need to register (or use your IBM ID, if you have one) to download the PDFs. http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/edu/os-dw-os-php-openlaszlo1-i.html A few of the more advanced approaches would be to use Cake or Symfony, generating REST web services for integration with OpenLaszlo.
