[Laszlo-user] calling actionscript code from LZX

Hello,
  Would appreciate if the following can be clarified :

I have an action script library (.as codebase)
1) can I make API calls to AS code from LZX, if so pls. provide a snippet
for clarity
2) since .as is complaint with ECMA script, can I convert it into SWF and
import the same into LZX and make the calls ? Pls. explain how ?
