Yes, the LFC is written this way. And yes we use an intermediate
language that is based on Javascript 2. But by no means to we claim
to support Javascript 2 (especially since it is not even a standard
yet).
It would be interesting to know what this developer's application is,
because each time we have _thought_ we needed to do this (e.g., for
the initial drawview component) we have ended up realizing that the
problem really was missing functionality in LZX, which, once that was
added, allowed us to write the component in LZX.
